Clover Teen Charged with Three Counts of Felony DUI

Clover teen is currently awaiting trial for an accident that occurred in late August of this year.

Accordingly, the 19-year-old is being charged with three counts of felony DUI; one of those DUI’s resulting in a death, and the other two resulting in great bodily injury, and driving under a suspended license. Sadly, this was not the first time the defendant has been charged with a DUI.

The police report states that the defendant was driving in his 1996 Infinity, when his vehicle swerved to the right side of the road, hit a tree, and subsequently flipped over onto the roof of the car.

All four people in the vehicle were ejected from the car at the time of the accident. One passenger was killed on impact. The driver/defendant and another passenger were taken by the paramedics to Piedmont Medical Center, and another was flown to Carolina’s Medical, via helicopter.

The police report states no one was wearing a seat belt.

Many states have both a felony DUI and a misdemeanor DUI charge. The determination if which type of DUI the person is going to receive is based on two main factors: aggravating circumstances and grave bodily injury or death as a result of driving while intoxicated.

Rock Hill Car Accident Attorneys

90 percent of licensed drivers speed at some point and a shocking 70 percent of licensed drivers admit to committing the offense regularly.  As the speed of a vehicle increases, the risk of an accident and the force that could potentially be experienced by the human body in a collision increase exponentially.  Traffic engineers and local governments generally use careful calculations and research in determining maximum speeds allowable for safe travel.  It’s important to obey the speed limit and practice safe driving techniques for the safety of all travelers on our nation’s highways.

Our Police force should be applauded for keeping our roadways safe. That being said, we as drivers should return the favor, and always keep a watchful eye for the officer’s safety. When an officer pulls a driver over, then will typically walk up the left side of the vehicle, as that is where the driver is sitting. Thus, the officer is standing between the vehicle and the road, only a few feet from oncoming traffic. Please keep this is mind when travelling our roadways; always merge into another lane if possible, to ensure the officer is not met with injury.

Celebrity Amanda Bynes, from the WB’s ” What I like About You,” and the movie “Easy A'” has been charged with a hit-and-run, in connection with two separate traffic accident violations; one occurring in April, and the other in August of this year.

Apparently, the first incident took place on April 10, followed by the second on August 4th, where Bynes was charged for leaving the scene of two separate accidents, without providing the proper information. There is also suspicion that Bynes was intoxicated during the first traffic violation, which is probably why Bynes did not want to provide the requisite information.

According to Bynes’ Los Angeles attorney, the actress’ arraignment has been scheduled for September 27th. She had not yet pled guilty to either charge.
