There was a deadly motorcycle accident Saturday morning on Edmund Highway in Lexington, South Carolina, near Columbia.

The 45 year old motorcycle rider died when he ran into the rear of a pick-up truck.   Current police reports do not show if any driver was ticketed, but rear-end collisions rarely result in tickets for the person rear-ended.

Dangerous Roads Cause Injury- Rock Hill Personal Injury Lawyer

A South Carolina Highway Patrol Officer was cited last Tuesday for driving too fast. Apparently, while the officer was travelling down Interstate 85, he hydroplaned on the wet road, flipping his vehicle over.

During the course of the accident, the Officer suffered minor injuries, was treated and then released from the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. His injuries may have been more severe, had the officer not been wearing his seatbelt.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Department handled the investigation, as it was their police officer whom was involved. Luckily, there were no other vehicles involved in this single-car wreck.

A fatal crash occurred Friday night on SC 34, when a 29-year-old was driving his pick-up truck under the influence, and was subsequently struck from behind by another car.

Officials say that the man driving the pick-up slowed down to make a left hand turn while the Jeep that was behind him was unable to stop, crashing into the left side of the man’s truck.
