A Chester, South Carolina man was arrested after a police chase that ended inYork County.  The driver barreled through a stop sign and crashed his car into the front yard of a Rock Hill house, according to Chester Police. 

The man was wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident.  When the police officers attempted to pull the man over, he led them on a chase across the county line.  During the pursuit, the man struck a police car. The man is being charged with hit and run, failure to stop, and assault and battery first-degree for the impact with the police vehicle.  

The incident occurred near Rock Hill Country Club on S.C. 72.  The law enforcement officer was uninjured and the damages to the vehicle were minor, the report states. Also, according to police, brick wall and flower pots were flattened with estimated damage of $100.
