Last week, a U.S. Marine was traveling back to his base in Virginia when his pick up truck collided with a tractor-trailer, killing he and his family in the fiery crash. The Marine was traveling with his wife, and their infant child, when they wrecked on Interstate 85 in South Carolina.
According to the Coroner’s report, the collision occurred last Tuesday, around 8:00 p.m. The Marine’s pick-up truck is said to of lost control and then crossed over the median, crashing into the tractor-trailer. The wife was driving the vehicle, while her 22-year-old husband rode passenger, and their 6-month-old was strapped safely in the back seat. Upon collision, the pick-up truck burst into flames. However, it was the impact that took the life of three family members, not the fire.
The driver and passenger riding in the tractor-trailer both escaped the accident unscathed.
