Traffic was brought to a standstill after a multi-car wreck in south Charlotte Friday morning.
The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Interstate 77 southbound at Arrowood Road and involved four cars.

A portion of U.S. 52 North is closed after an motor-vehicle accident involving an armored truck Monday night.
Davidson County Emergency Crews received a call about the accident at around 9:15 p.m.
At least two people were involved in the crash, and details on the amount of vehicles are still forthcoming. EMS transported one person to an area hospital.
Crews had to close U.S. 52 North between MM 92 and 97.

Charlotte drivers experienced delays Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer overturned on a ramp on Interstate 85 in west Charlotte.
According to Troopers from North Carolina Highway Patrol, the tractor-trailer flipped on a I-85 ramp on Interstate 485 early Wednesday morning.
The accident happened after the load the truck was hauling shifted and caused the trailer to flip. Details on injuries suffered due to the crash are still forthcoming.
The ramp was closed briefly to clear the scene, but was reopened around 9 a.m.

Three people were seriously injured in a wreck that snarled traffic on Statesville Road Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, the crash and its cause is under continuing investigations.
One victim was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center Huntersville with life threatening injuries. A second patient was brought to Presbyterian Huntersville with less severe injuries. A third was transported to Presbyterian Main with potentially life threatening injuries.

Neighbors are speaking out about a dangerous five-lane intersection in Kannapolis.
Residents are required to use busy five-lane intersection to get to and from their homes after the city closed down a road allowed for safer access.
Neighbors have commented that many people have been hurt in the past due to the unsafe roadways.
Mclain Road used to paved and gave access to a stoplight to get on to Highway 29; however, after years of flooding, the city decided against fixing the road and closed it instead.
