A Columbia, SC man was arrested in Rock Hill, SC for allegedly ripping his girlfriends necklace off, attempting to strangle her, finally slashing her tires. The Rock Hill police department charged him with third-degree assault and battery, and damage to personal property.
The girlfriend reported to police that the two were fighting and the man pushed her to the bed, ripped her necklace from her neck and began to strangle her. The report further stated that when the woman escaped from the house, the man grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed the tires of her 2003 sedan.
The man was apprehended as he was walking down the street clutching the broken jewelry. The man was taken to the Rock Hill city jail on $4000 bond, and .
