Recent studies reveal the peak hour motor vehicle crashes occur in Charlotte is between 4 and 5 p.m. Rush hour traffic gets a bad wrap for good reason. Straight after a full days work people are fatigued, stressed and ready to get home. Not to mention there are a lot more drivers on the road. So it’s not surprising that accidents occur more frequently during those hours. If you are driving in rush hour traffic, be sure to stay alert and be aware of what is happening around you and especially ahead of you. Try to leave early for your destination so that you wont feel as if you have to rush. If you know you will be spending time in traffic, find an enjoyable radio station or book on tape to take your mind off of the stress of traffic.
