Authorities closed down a section of I-85 Northbound on Friday evening due to a car accident.  The crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. at the Mallard Creek Church Road exit.

The N.C. Highway Patrol is saying the damage and injuries are serious.  Officers stated that a motorcycle apparently rammed the back of a passenger car after the passenger car stopped to avoid colliding with slower traffic.  Authorities are estimating the impact was so violent that it potentially forced the passenger car into another truck on the interstate.

Two people were treated for very serious injuries after the accident, according to a report.  There still remains little information as to both of their conditions.  Any type of serious injury can bring harm to the victim and his/her loved ones.  One may have an action to recover damages for injuries sustained during an accident.
