A tractor-trailer driver lost control of his vehicle last Wednesday afternoon on Highway 5 in Rock Hill, where the end result took out a utility pole and lots of traffic lights.
The devastation to the traffic lights caused quite a halt in traffic, but the Rock Hill Fire Department and the City’s utility Department rushed to the scene to work on the
restoration of power to the traffic lights.
According to the official reports, the source of the accident was by the truck driver making an ” evasive” maneuver to avoid hitting a vehicle that ” cut him off” the driver said. He said that the sedan in front of him came out of no where, and then sped in front of his vehicle, forcing him to turn the vehicle in the manner in which he did.
The accident knocked out lights on both S.C. 5 and Herlong Avenue.
Thus, the driver will not be found to be at fault in this incident, and no one was harmed by the accident.
Sadly, this is not always the case and often times, someone does get hurt. If you have been involved in a tractor-trailer accident, contact the law offices of Reeves, Aiken, and Hightower,LLP toll-free at 877-374-5999 for more information on your options.
