Four people, including three children, were transported to the hospital after a head-on crash involving two cars happened on Tuesday afternoon on N.C. Highway 150 South.
Reports of the accident came in at approximately 3:06 p.m. after a Ford Mustang traveling north on N.C. 150 and crossed the centerline, striking a Chevrolet Cavalier head-on.
The Cavalier was being driven by a woman, riding with her were her two children and their cousin. When first responders arrived on the scene, the female driver had critical injuries and was trapped in the car unconscious. The children were suffering from minor injuries. All were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
According to authorities, the three children in the Cavalier were all wearing seatbelts; however, their injuries would have been much worse if they weren’t wearing them.
The driver of the Mustang, 21, declined answering questions on the scene.
Both cars involved in the crash were completely totaled.

Three people, including a 2-year-old, were rushed to the hospital after a police chase ended with a horrific crash when the suspect drove his van into a church in west Charlotte late Wednesday.
The chase ensued around 9:30 p.m. when N.C. Highway Patrol troopers tried to pull the van over for having an expired license tag and the driver refused to stop. The chase continued until the van crashed into University Memorial Baptist Church on West Tyvola Road near Richard Street. It is believed that the 2-year-old was ejected from the van during the crash. A female passenger also suffered injuries.
The male driver attempted to flee the scene by foot, but was caught by officers.
All three people were transported to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte police are searching for a suspect who struck a pedestrian and drove away over the weekend in west Charlotte.
The victim was walking across the street on the 4000 block of Tuckaseegee Road when a SUV struck him, tossing him over 10 feet in the air. According to reports, the SUV momentarily paused before driving away into the night.
The pedestrian did manage to make it home some three blocks away after the incident; however, he has no memory of his walk home.
The pedestrian has suffered minor injuries and will be out of work for two weeks.
Police are continuing their investigation for the hit-and run suspect.

Charlotte Police are continuing an investigation of a fatal crash that happened in Steele Creek Road that left a pedestrian dead last September.
According to investigators, a man was walking across Steele Creek Road near the intersection of Branch Bend Lane on a Friday in September when he was struck by a 2007 Kia.
The driver of the Kia had three teen passengers in the car. Medics transported the pedestrian to Carolinas Medical Center Main for the fatal injuries sustained; however, he did not survive the crash in the end.
Investigators have ruled out both speed and alcohol as contributing factors. No charges have been filed.

Last Thursday was dangerous for one Rock Hill pedestrian when she was walking along side Cherry Road when she was struck by a vehicle.
The woman works at the Waffle House in Rock Hill, however she was at the entrance of the Kangaroo Express when she was hit by the car; she was stopping by the gas station before her morning shift she reported.
The victim stated that she was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe in her stomach and on the left side of her body. The SUV driver apparently stopped to apologize and state that he did not see the pedestrian, but he then fled the scene before the police arrived.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center. The driver has not yet been found.

Last Thursday in Lancaster, South Carolina, five people were seriously injured in an overnight crash, including an infant.
According to the police report, the accident occurred between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m., where five unnamed individuals were travelling down County Club Drive and the car they were in flipped numerous times before it hit a parked car.
Moreover, the details of the cause of the accident are currently unknown, but what happened afterwards is clear. Two of the passengers were actually ejected from their car seats during the accident. Another passenger was actually pinned in the car from inside the vehicle, as well as the infant, who was also entrapped inside the vehicle. Lastly, the fifth person was able to some how get out of the car, but still suffered serious injury.
All passengers were taken via helicopter to Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
