Highway work crews were busy on Friday afternoon after a violent accident occcured on Interstate 77. The highway crews worked to clear debris from the Interstate after a vehicle accident.
The accident occurred around 3:11 p.m. at the intersection of Interstate 77 and the Brookshire Freeway. The NC Department of Transportation expects delays and to use caution when traveling through the area. Traffic was backed up almost 9 miles to Interstate 485 near the border of North and South Carolina.

A Rock Hill woman had her relationship turn sour the other night. The woman claims her boyfriend dumped bleach on her and then left the home, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
The woman claimed her boyfriend was upset after another man was looking at her at the club. Officers stated that the woman said he dumped bleach all over her clothes and hair at around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. Officers stated that the woman had noticeable bleach spots on her clothing and an empty bottle of bleach was recovered from the room where the alleged incident occurred.

One person received injuries in a crash that occurred in northeast Charlotte at 2 a.m. Saturday. The crash occurred near the intersection of Rocky River Road and Hood Road.
According to officers, they were involved in a high-speed chase with the driver, whom sustained the injuries. The car flipped several times after the driver lost control and he was taken to Carolina Medical Center for his injuries.
Officers have not revealed why they were originally chasing the man, but officers have revealed they will charge the man after his release from the hospital for his injuries. A devastating car crash occurred Wednesday on the Inner Loop of Interstate 485 around Providence Road.
According to a report, an automobile apparently slammed into the back of a motor home traveling on the interstate. When the automobile hit the motor home, the front of the vehicle buckled, trapping the occupants inside the vehicle.
Five people were injured in the incident. According to authorities, three of the injuries are described as potentially life-threatening while the other two were described as non-life-threatening. A Rock Hill woman was arrested for assault on Tuesday after she beat her cousin with a vodka bottle and tore out her weave in a heated argument, according to authorities.
The woman was booked in jail on Tuesday, but posted a $1,000 after police apprehended her. Officers stated that this past weekend, they had been called to a residence on Chestnut Street after a woman called to complain that her cousin was attacking her with a vodka bottle. During the altercation, the woman damaged many pieces of property in the apartment, including a coffee table, and the cousin gave the woman a black eye and tore out her weave in the process.

A Rock Hill man was taken by helicopter to a hospital Tuesday night after two men wearing all black clothing knocked on his door and then shot him, stealing cash in the process.
Authorities responded to a call from 970 Eastwood Drive near Willowbrook Avenue in reference to a gunshots being heard. When officers arrived, they found the man severely injured with a gunshot wound to his chest.
A woman was in the apartment with the man at the time of the incident with her two children. After the man was shot, he was able to gain his composure and flee the scene to Princeton Road, where he ran into someone who called authorities. The two robbers stole $300 from the apartment all while the woman was in the apartment with her two children. A K-9 unit also found $60 near the apartment.
The woman and the children were not hurt by the suspects. The man was taken to the Carolina Medical Center and seemed to be responding to questions and answers from authorities questioning him about the incident in the hospital.
