Two men are dead following an early morning crash involving a pick-up truck and a passenger car on Pleasant Garden Road Saturday.
A man was driving his pick-up truck on Pleasant Garden road when he drove off the road, swerved to correct, crossed the center-line and struck a car driving northbound, causing his vehicle to overturn.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were both killed in the crash.
Authorities are still determining whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The driver of a box truck is fortunate after escaping potentially serious injuries when his truck crashed and overturned on Interstate 85 Thursday morning.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 just before 8 a.m., according to members of North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The truck flipped onto the driver’s side, temporarily trapping the driver.
Rescue crews arrived on the scene just as the man was able to climb from the cab of the vehicle. He appeared to have injuries from the crash, but was lucky to be treated on the scene.

Crews were working to clear a nasty scene after a tractor-trailer hauling frozen chicken overturned on the Innerloop of Interstate 485 to the on ramp of Interstate 77 northbound Thursday.
The accident happened early Thursday morning around 5:30 a.m. in the Northlake area of Charlotte.
The ramp was closed for hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the number of injuries.

A woman is dead after being struck by an SUV while crossing the street early Wednesday morning in Charlotte.
It happened near the 8100 block of University City Boulevard around 1:30 a.m., according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Investigators closed University City Blvd eastbound from Chancellor Park Drive to Shopping Center Drive until 4:30 a.m. as CMPD’s Major Crash Investigation Unit processed the scene.
Police say the victim appeared to be a woman on her way home from work. The driver of the SUV that hit her will not be facing charges since he was not speeding and was going through a green light at the time of the fatal crash.

New signs have been posted on the ramp from Interstate 485 to Interstate 77 after the sharp turn in this area experienced a number of tractor-trailer crashes.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the new signs are there to help remind drivers to practice safe driving techniques.
Workers began the project of putting up $10,000 worth of new signs at the dangerous ramp.
The signs are much like those that were already in place at the ramp, except they are at least twice the size.
DOT officials say that it is merely a temporary fix until the upcoming projects that include lane improvements.
Studies in Charlotte reveal that from June 2009 to April 2012, this particular ramp has experienced a total of 26 crashes, including three rollovers, one jackknife and over a dozen were fixed objects or drivers who ran off the road. A man is in jail on a $1 million dollar bail after being involved in a suspected DWI wreck Sunday that killed a tow truck driver.
The 50-year-old man was driving his box truck on Carolina Beach Road near McQuillan Drive when he drove into the now deceased 55-year-old man who was helping a motorist on the road.
The driver fled the scene, but was stopped nine miles down the road by police.
The man is charged with second-degree murder, driving whilc impaired, felony hit-and-run, habitual driving while impaired and driving while his license was revoked.
The man was unable to reduce his bail after the District Attorney after highlighting the man’s eight DWI convictions, 11 license suspensions, and a previous hit-and-run conviction.
The man’s court date for the accident is November 29.
