Dozens of people have gathered to raise money for a Charlotte woman and her daughter after they were seriously injured in a recent motorcycle crash in Charlotte.

The silent auction fund-raiser is taking place at Amo’s Southend to raise money for medical and household bills.

The woman and her daughter were injured in a crash that happened in July on Interstate 485 in July.

Both the woman and her daughter were in a coma for several weeks after the accident.  The woman has just recently begun walking and talking.  She cannot begin work until doctors determine just how severe her brain injuries are.  Luckily, her daughter has fully recovered after coming out of the coma.

Studies from NHTSA reveal that 4,502 motorcyclists were killed and 82,000 injured in 2010.  Motorcycles can be a blast and a fun escape from the confines of a car; however, it’s no mystery that motorcyclists are more vulnerable to serious injury given their exposed nature.  So it’s especially important for road users to share the road and stay aware of the presence of motorcyclists.  If you have been in a serious motorcycle accident, call the Accident Attorneys of Reeves, Aiken, and Hightower 704-499-9000 or 877-374-5999 toll-free.
