Young Charlotte Woman Suffers Traumatic Brain Injury

A young Charlotte woman is adjusting to a new life after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a crash in September.

The 21-year-old woman has spent the majority of the last seven weeks in a coma after an enraged driver hit her car head-on and took off.

She now has to wear special glasses to mitigate double vision and one of her arms remains in a cast.

Despite the disheartening circumstances of the crash, the woman has maintained an optimistic outlook, claiming that her faith has only been strengthened by the crash.

She still has many goals and ambitions after surviving the crash and plans on eventually becoming a pharmacist.

According to witnesses, the hit-and-run driver was driving a silver SUV.

Each year in the United States, traumatic brain injuries contribute to a substantial number of deaths and cases of permanent disability.  Furthermore, recent data reveals that, on average, around 1.7 million people sustain a traumatic brain injury per year.  Head injuries are no joke and should always be taken seriously, no matter how lucid the victim may seem afterwards.  If you or a loved one becomes injured after an incident, call the Accident Attorneys of Reeves, Aiken, and Hightower at 704-499-9000 or 877-374-5999 toll-free.

Two Pedestrians Seriously Injured After Hit by Car in Charlotte

Two people are suffering from serious injuries after being hit by a car on Monday night.

The two individuals were walking across the road when they were struck by the vehicle.  Both were immediately rushed to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte Police Continue Search For Hit-and-Run Suspect

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police are reaching out to the public for help as they try to find a hit-and-run driver who injured a motorcyclist last Sunday.

According to police, the 37-year-old biker was seriously injured after he swerved to avoid hitting a green, four-door Mercedes Benz sedan on South Tryon Road near Sandy Porter Road.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center.

Police believe the motorist should have damage to the left rear corner of the vehicle.

Studies reveal that motocyclists are 35 times more likely to experience a fatal accident on the road than road users in passenger cars.  And in 2006, 88,000 motorcyclists were injured in highway accidents.  There is no doubt that hitting the road on two wheels presents a whole new set of risks for motorists.  So it’s important for all road users to share the road and motorcyclists practice safe riding techniques.  If you are injured in an accident, you need attorneys who are competent and experienced to protect your rights.  Call the Accident Attorneys of Reeves, Aiken, and Hightower at 704-499-9000 or 877-374-5999 toll-free.

Charlotte Drivers Experience Delays After Multi-Car Crash

Charlotte drivers experienced big delays on Interstate 85 after a multi-car crash during rush hour near uptown Charlotte Thursday evening.

All lanes on I-85 near exit 45 in the University area were shut down after two red sedans and a silver sedan collided around 5:30 p.m.
