SC Missing Teens Found Dead in Lake after a Car Accident

The two SC missing teens were discovered Sunday in Kershaw County, 200 yards west of the Wateree River where the car plummeted into after an alleged car wreck. The police found the teens still inside the 2006 Pontiac G6 that the boys were driving around 4:20 p.m.

Accordingly, two teens went missing on their way to Myrtle Beach on October 13 of this year. They left Waxhaw, NC and headed for the beach in the early morning to watch the sunrise. The only clues the parent had to their children’s whereabouts was that they made it to Rock Hill, SC, when one of the boys cell phones ” pinged” from a Rock Hill tower.

The Kershaw Police Department found the car in the marshy water, but needed assistance from a diver in the Camden Fire Department to help secure the car. Upon harnessing the car, the police were able to retrieve the vehicle and determine if the boys were in the car.

Moreover, the state Highway Patrol additionally has jurisdiction over the incident and investigation, as it appears as though the wreckage was a result of a traffic accident.

Missing Rock Hill Teens May Have Crashed on Way to Beach

The search for two missing teens is heating up, as the Fairfield County Chief Deputy has announced that information gathered through the investigation leads the police to believe the missing teens crashed their vehicle while on their way to Myrtle Beach last weekend.

Jake Ziegler and friend Ray Pierce went missing Saturday while on the way to Myrtle Beach. Both teens are 18 years of age.

Jake’s mother believes that her son is still alive and fighting to stay that way. She believes that her son  “is in a ditch off to the side of the road at a bend. It’s got some heavy brush covering, you’re gonna have to look down there. But if anybody could please-my son doesn’t have much longer if he’s alive. I believe he is.”

The Deputy believes if the boys did crash anywhere, it would have happened around mile marker 48. Apparently, one of the boy’s cell phone is ” pinging” along I-77 between exits 45 and 48. The last communication with the boys was at 2:30 a.m. early Saturday morning, when Ziegler sent a text message that ” pinged” off of a Rock Hill cell phone tower.

Accordingly, the boys reportedly left for the beach after a party in Sherrills Ford, N.c., early Saturday morning.

Strangely, a Belk store clerk told the police that she had sold the missing teens clothing. The police are going to watch the surveillance videos to attempt to verify the clerk’s story.

According to WMBF, the two boys were driving a 2006 Green Pontiac G-6. The license plate reads BDD-8844. The parents are currently offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has any information leading to the whereabouts of the teens.

The Catawba County Police are requesting that you contact them at (828)-465-8301 if you have any information regarding the boys.
