School Bus Wreck Injures Three in Charlotte

Three people were injured after a school bus wreck in northeast Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on University City Boulevard near Interstate 85 south.

The Morehead Stem Academy bus was carrying 31 students at the timd of the crash. Three people were taken to CMC University with minor injuries.

Luckily, none of the students on board the bus were injured. There is still no word on the cause of the accident or possible charges.

School Bus Strikes Pedestrian in Charlotte

Uptown streets were shut down Tuesday morning after a crash involving a school bus and a pedestrian.

The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. on Tryon Street near Stonewall Street.  A portion of Tryon Street was briefly blocked while crews cleared the scene.

Luckily, no one riding the school bus was injured; however, the pedestrian that was struck suffered injuries and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

SUV and CATS bus Collide in Charlotte

Two people are injured after an accident involving a SUV and a CATS bus happened on Clanton Road Thursday morning.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Clanton Road near Interstate 77 after a SUV and a CATS bus collided.

Emergency crews had to block a portion of the intersection while working the scene. According to MEDIC,  two people were injured in the accident.  One person suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The bus had two passengers at the time of the wreck, but they were not injured.

West Charlotte Bus Crash Leaves Two Injured

Two people are injured after an accident involving a school bus in west Charlotte Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. in the 2900 block of Wilkinson Boulevard.  According to emergency crews, a 21-year-old Charlotte man suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center.

It took 18 firefighters 20 minutes to rescue the man from his car after colliding into the rear of the school bus.

The driver of the bus was also injured and was transported to CMC. Luckily, no students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

According to witnesses, there was heavy traffic on the road at the time of the crash.

CATS Bus Crashes Into Charlotte Motorcyclist

A crash involving a CATS bus and a motorcycle on Friday night has left at least two injured.

The crash happened at the 1500 block on N. Tryon Street at around 10:25 p.m. after the bus, making a left turn from N. Tryon Street onto Dalton Avenue, turned in front of a 1999 Yamaha Motorcycle traveling south on N. Tryon Street.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

At the time of the crash, the bus had 12 passengers.  One passenger was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

12 People Hospitalized After Truck Crashes Into CATS Bus

At least 12 people are injured after a crash involving a CATS bus and a truck on North Tryon Street and East 16th Street Thursday morning.

According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police, the bus was traveling south on N. Tryon when a truck lost control and crashed into the bus.

Emergency crews transported seven victims to Carolinas Medical Center Main.  Five people were transported to Presbyterian Hospital.

Medics reported that at least one person was suffering life-threatening injuries.

Commuters faced delays in both directions while emergency crews and police worked on the scene.
