Over Twenty Homes Raided in Rock Hill, SC Racketeering Bust

More than twenty homes were raided this past July in North and South Carolina as suspected members of the Rock Hill City Nomad Chapter of the Hells Angels were arrested after a two-year federal investigation.  Nineteen alleged members were arrested as a result.  They were arrested after a 91 count indictment was returned charging Hell’s Angels Associates with racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, narcotics violations, money laundering, and firearms violations. 

 Arrest and search warrants were issued throughout North and South Carolina where the police uncovered cocaine, marijuana, pills, and roughly 100 firearms. Woman Charged with DUI After Police Find Her Passed Out In Vehicle

Last Friday, a Rock Hill, SC woman was found unconscious in her car at Walmart after she allegedly “huffed” fumes from an aerosol can, as reported by police.  A Walmart employee called police and stated that around 5:30 p.m. the woman was passed out in her 2002 silver Pontiac Grand Prix which was still running.

The woman was charged with driving under the influence and unlawful use and possession of aromatic hydrocarbons after the police found a can of Ultra Duster clutched in the her left hand.  Officers reported that her eyes were glossy and bloodshot, and her pupils were dilated.  The police also found prescription pain pills in her purse as she searched for her driver’s license.

The officers report that they subjected the woman to three field sobriety tests which she allegedly failed.  She later admitted to recently leaving a drug rehabilitation facility for air-can use and prescription pain pills.

Man Arrested in Lancaster, SC on Gun Related Charges

On October 15, Lancaster, SC Police arrested a man in connection with shooting a man in the leg. Police say the victim was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital; he was treated for his injury, and released. 

 The alleged shooter was driving a burgundy Chevrolet Caprice, which the police say was the same car used in the shooting.  The man was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.  Cocaine was also found in the shooter’s possession, reported police.

Police Bust Methamphetamine Lab in York County

South Carolina officials reported last August three York County men were arrested for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab. The police have reportedly searched nine locations after undercover officers allegedly made some meth purchases.

The men were apprehended at three different locations. They face a litter of charges, including possession, distribution and manufacturing of methamphetamine. The Hazmat crews, located in Columbia, SC, were called to clean up the “meth lab,” which was located on the Catawba Indian Reservation portion of York County, SC.

Rock Hill Man Charged with Possession of Controlled Substance

A Rock Hill, SC man is facing charges of drug possession, after he allegedly became unruly because his mother tried to take custody of his daughter.  He is being charged with unlawful possession of a Xanax, a Schedule IV drug, and disorderly conduct. 

The mother said that she went to her son’s College Avenue home where she found that the child’s clothing was Drug Chargesfilthy, and the baby bag did not contain any food. As a result the mother called the Rock Hill police department.  When the police arrived they reported that the man’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his speech was slurred, and he had “cottonmouth.” 

The police found drugs in one of his pockets, and took him into custody.  His mother told officer’s that she has contacted the Department of Social Services regarding the living conditions.  The man is currently being held at theYork CountyDetention Centeron a $10,000 bond.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. —

Police have arrested 15 people as they conducted raids in nearly a dozen locations along the Grand Strand in a bid to break up a marijuana operation run by Hell’s Angels.

Interim Horry County Police Chief Saundra Rhodes said Monday that the 18-month investigation focused on breaking up the cultivation, distribution and trafficking of marijuana involving the Hell’s Angels chapter.

Police are still looking for 19 other suspects. Officials say all of them either are a member of the biker organization or are affiliated with them.

The amount of marijuana seized was not released. Police would not say how much they think was distributed by the local organization.

Most of the suspects arrested Monday are from Myrtle Beach.
